- Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier
- Metal Zone Distortion Pedal
The Holy Grail Reverb Pedal was the second pedal I bought in my life. At that point
in my guitar career, I had just bought my Epiphone Les Paul and a 60 watt Crate amplifier, so I figured I might
as well buy something to enhance my sound just a little more. I was originally looking at the Boss Digital Reverb
Pedal when one of Guitar Centers store employee's approached me. He was talking about how the Boss pedal was good,
but that he knew of something better and much easier to work with. So he showed me the Holy Grail by Electro Harmonix.
Let me make it very clear that this pedal is truly the Holy Grail of Reverb Pedals. The pedal comes with three options
of reverb, consisting of Spring Reverb, Hall Reverb, and Flerb Reverb. It is somewhat hard to explain the differences
between each setting, but I assure you they all sound very different. What I like about this pedal is that it is extremely
easy to use. It isn't like delay where you have to dial in settings on multiple knobs. The Holy Grail has one knob
titled Reverb, and thats it. I don't think electro harmonix could have made this pedal any easier to use. It really
gets the job done, and it's extremely easy to adjust mid-song. The only complaint I have with this pedal, is it doesn't
take a standard power unit. The power cable you may use for a boss pedal will not fit in this pedal, because it's
actually pretty old. So you have to buy another certain power cable, and this could really mess with your pedal board.
Other then that, this pedal is flawless. Look it up, and check it out.
