Anterior is a band straight out of Tredeger, Wales (Same place well known "Bullet for
My Valentine" resides from). I recently found these guys over one of my many random iTunes searches, and I have got
to admit this band is probably one of the luckiest finds I could come across. Upon mentioning this band to my friends, they had not even
heard of Anterior. Anterior has been writing music since 2003, so this gave them ample time to get out their and make
their music heard. Why it is just being picked up now by the masses is beyond me, because this is one of the most
well put together albums I have ever heard. There are no clean vocals to the bands first major release titled "This
Age of Silence." So if your into straight up heavy screams, this is for you. But more so if you are into guitar
solo's, then this album is absolutely for you. The guitar work in this album is incredible. It almost takes away from
the talent of the rest of the members of the bands, but be rest assured every member of this band is talented. The
reason the guitar solo's attract so much attention is probably because they span from anywhere around a minute to two
minutes in length. It really isn't easy to write a solo that long for every song and not repeat riffs, so theres
something new to listen to with every track. Some rhythmic riffs seem to be either played out a little too often,
but I believe it's at the point where it's not so distracting as to turn a person away from the band. Definitely
recommended.
